Red Kettle Bell Ringer Adopt-a-Day

Nov. 24th – Dec. 21st | Salvation Army

Every year from Thanksgiving to Christmas Community Action runs the Red Kettle bell ringing program in Burlington and Mount Vernon to help raise funds for basic needs vouchers. Ringing bells for the Red Kettle donation drive is a great way for groups to help contribute to funds that are used to help people with basic needs such as food, gas, clothing, toiletries and medicine.

Have Fun Volunteering For A Good Cause!

If you are in a band or choir we encourage you to use entertainment to help increase donations.  You can make it fun by challenging other civic groups or businesses to see who can raise the most money.

This opportunity runs Monday through Saturday and most community groups prefer to adopt a Friday or Saturday for bell ringing.  Shifts run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and groups find it best to have multiple volunteers cover 2 hour shifts.  We do require that groups volunteer for a full 6-hour day of service. Volunteers need to be able to stand throughout their shift and ring the bells continuously to attract attention.
