Elder Care

This two-evening program brings clarity to the maze of support options available for older adults. Instructor Debbie Gann, CSA, Director, Home Attendant Care (Whatcom/Skagit/San Juan/Island Counties) has more than 25 years of healthcare experience and is a certified Dementia Trainer.

FREE Vision Screening

A certified ophthalmic technician with Cascadia Eye will conduct vision and glaucoma screenings. This is not an evaluation of cataracts or macular degeneration. It is an acuity (vision) and eye pressure test only. Bring a contact lens case for storage during the screening.

Caregiver Support Groups

Prenatal and Postnatal
Yoga Instruction

Gently nurture your body with prenatal and postnatal yoga. Together, as a supportive community of women you will explore traditional yoga poses designed to balance and restore the physical needs of the new mother and the new baby. No prior yoga experience necessary. It is recommended that you begin postpartum yoga when you and your doctor decide it is best to start. This may be as early as 6 – 8 weeks. Classes will be held on Thursdays from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. in the Skagit Valley Hospital Family Birth Center Waiting Room. Questions call, 360-814-2424. $10 per class.
