Home Trust of Skagit to hold annual meeting March 20 at Skagit Transit station

The Home Trust of Skagit community land trust organization will hold its annual meeting at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Skagit Station in Mount Vernon. The annual meeting is in lieu of Home Trust’s monthly business meeting.

The Home Trust of Skagit board of directors will conduct business, including electing members and will also recap its successes over the past 12 months. The organization will also outline its plans for the next year.

Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be provided.

Home Trust of Skagit helps potential homeowners who live and work in Skagit County, earn an income at or less than 80 percent of the area median income, and can qualify for a conventional mortgage. The homeowners in the program own their own home but lease the land on which the home sits for a nominal monthly fee. Upon resale, the seller of the home shares the equity through a formula with Home Trust to keep the home affordable for future buyers.

The public is welcome to attend. Call (360) 428-0014 for additional information.
