Mount Vernon Graduate Named SVC Baseball Coach

Shane Servoss has been named as Interim Head Coach of the Skagit Valley College Baseball team. Currently the Cardinal’s Assistant Coach, Servoss will lead the team through the end of the 2017-2018 season.

Servoss played second base at SVC from 2012-2014 and is a 2012 graduate of Mount Vernon High School, where he also played baseball. “Shane brings an exceptional set of skills and experience that will greatly benefit the baseball program at SVC,” said Athletic Director Steve Epperson. A graduate of Washington State University, Servoss holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management.

Servoss replaces Braden Wells who has served as the Cardinal’s Head Coach since 2016. “Braden stepped in as Head Coach and continued the success of our program and we wish him well as he moves on in his career,” Epperson said.

The Cardinals, who finished 3rd place in the NWAC Northern Division in 2017, open their regular league season on March 31st
