Mount Vernon Farmers Market Update

It’s here and we are excited to share all the new happenings with you for the Market Season coming up.

Thanks to Birgit La Face for the poster art, and Rachel Dahl for the new poster.

New News to Share:

Market Biz:

We’ve hired a new Manager! Jodie and Jill are sad to take the Manager hats off, but we’re so excited to welcome Shawna Mengle back to the Valley, and introduce her to the Market community.

Vendors and Volunteers:
Our Spring Potluck, coming up this Saturday afternoon, is a great opportunity to meet the Market Board, new Manager, Vendors, and other Volunteers.
Potluck details:
– 3-6pm, Saturday March 19th at St Paul’s Episcopal Church, 415 S 18th St, up on the hill in MV.
-Park around back.
– BYO Cup, cutlery, & plate, plus a dish of something yummy to share.

If you love the Market, we encourage you to come see if you are a good fit to be a Market Volunteer,  to help us make magic and great food access happen again this year.

Big thank yous to our Market Board – (and there is still room for a few more…)
Dave McConnell – President
Debbie Clough – Vice President
Sandi Hahn – Secretary
Jerry Shackette – Treasurer
Sarah Wagstaff – Governance and PR committees
Ellen Dale – Community Relations
Rob Zwick – Volunteers

Come find us on facebook, and twitter (FarmMarketMV) – and keep browsing our website as we begin to fill in the vendor profiles with this year’s Market growers, processors, and artisans.
