First Thursday Art Walk April 7, 5-8 pm

The Mount Vernon Downtown Association (MVDA) kicks off its third season of First Thursday Art Walks on April 7, 5-8 pm. Stroll throughout lovely downtown Mount Vernon where 14 locations will be exhibiting original works by local and regional artists. The featured artist at the Front Gallery is Mount Vernon native Elizabeth Bisegna, who will be exhibiting pieces created for the “This is YOUR Downtown” community support campaign. Elizabeth is a cut-paper artist, illustrator and graphic designer, raised in Mount Vernon and now living in Portland, Oregon. Elizabeth’s work is inspired by her love of the outdoors and a desire to connect with her community.

The Mount Vernon Downtown Association hosts art walks on the First Thursday of each month, from April through October, where 12-15 venues feature Skagit Valley talent. The remaining dates for 2016 Art walks are: 5/5, 6/2, 7/7, 8/4, 9/1, and 10/6.

For more information or to inquire about participating in future Art Walks, please email dep.mvda@gmail.com or call (360) 336-3801.
