News from the Mount Vernon Farmers Market

October Harvest

Thanks to the MVHS band for bringing some of their school spirit to Market last week while their Band Aid Fun Run was happening across the river. If you missed them – they’ll come back next year!

New News to Share:

Matney Cook and the Mudflat Walkers Trio will be bringing some sweet tunes to share with us – here’s a taste – a love song for Foodies

VENDORS: Mark your calendars please – November 21st – Harvest Market at the Skagit (Bus & Train) Station: 10-2 pm.

It’s going to be a rainy breezy day, and a few of our Vendors are giving it a miss – but we’ll be there, and so will these folks:

Bellingham Pasta
Bennett’s Orchard
Bird in Hand
Bruce Bowen’s Bees
Burke Ridge Farm
Clare’s Knitting
Clark’s Woodshoppe
Colony Creek Farm
Dahlia Depot
Grandma’s Garden
Hedlin Farms

Friendship House will be joining us in the community booth – come learn about their great programs to help people in our community get back on their feet, including Hunger to Hope, which teaches culinary skills (you don’t need to be a Friendship House resident to take part in this apprenticeship program either!).

Market Biz:
We’ll host a Market Basket Raffle in the am – drawing is at 12:30pm – chip in and maybe come home with a bountiful armful of fresh local goodness?!

Coming UP:

Save the date for this year’s Harvest Market: November 21st from 10am-2pm at Skagit Station – this will be an indoor/outdoor Market (under cover spots along the parking lot side of the Station).

Want to be a vendor? Applications are due by October 10th. Come pick one up at Market, or email us:
