October Harvest

Come join us today between 11-4pm for our last Wednesday Market of the season up at the Hospital’s Kincaid Green, featuring: Sigi and her cinnamon rolls, Brad with Bingaling Honey, Kathryn from Cedar Ridge, and True’s Garden bouquets.

Kudos to our Wednesday vendors for their resilience following a great helicopter incident a few weeks back…

It should be sunny and 70 degrees for Saturday Market this week, but it is definitely Fall in the fields and on the plate.

Did you see the beautiful rouge pumpkins that Colony Creek brought to market last week?
Talking with Ann Novak from Highland Farm West about her favorite foods for Skagit Talks, a program on KSVR 91.7fm. Highland Farm West just harvested turtle beans, come get some!

New News to Share:

Double Feature this week!
The MVHS Band will join us between 10:30-11:30 as part of their Band Aid Fun Run.
Then, the hugely talented Robbie Egelstad will be joining us again, playing beautiful Spanish guitar between 11:30-2pm.

VENDORS: Mark your calendars please – November 21st – Harvest Market at the Skagit (Bus & Train) Station: 10-2 pm. There is still time to get your application in to be a vendor at our Harvest Market, but we need to receive it by October 10th.

In other news – Hedlins is taking the week off to attend to the Festival of Family Farms, no Cedar Ridge this week either, and the Spoon Guy will be back next week too.

Market Biz:
We’ll host a Market Basket Raffle in the am – drawing is at 12:30pm – chip in and maybe come home with a bountiful armful of fresh local goodness?!

Save the date for this year’s Harvest Market: November 21st from 10am-2pm at Skagit Station – this will be an indoor/outdoor Market (under cover spots along the parking lot side of the Station).
