Skagit Valley College Drama Department audition announcement

The Skagit Valley College Drama Department announces that auditions will take place on September 30 at 3 pm and 6 pm for the Fall Quarter production of Prometheus Bound by Aeschylus, Translation by Henry David Thoreau.  The show will be directed by SVC Drama Department chair, Damond Morris. A short classic audition piece is encouraged. Performances will take place in the Phillip Tarro Theatre November 12-22. The play will incorporate movement-based work with theatrical masks and puppets.  The classic archetypal myth of the Greek god punished by Zeus for delivering fire, knowledge and art to man, will draw from Native American Salish art and storytelling tradition.
