The Heritage Flight Museum Fly Days

Fly Days

When: 3rd Saturday of every month
Time: 12-4pm

Want to see our aircraft in action?! Smell the smells, hear the sounds?! Then be sure to visit us on the 3rd Saturday of every month between noon and 4pm. We do this every month, year round and the only thing that stops us from flying is the weather! Sure Mother Nature can make it challenging, but we usually are lucky and our pilots do their utmost to get some flights out. It’s not unusual either to see other warbirds from around the region at one of our fly-days – some come from other collections, and others are privately owned and operated by warbird enthusiasts. We thank them for their support and hope that you enjoy the variety of aircraft on display!

We try to put out an array of flights, one demo every hour. From a single-ship fighter to a formation of T-6′s, there’s always something to see. We work with local air traffic to make sure that we don’t disrupt the other air traffic at Burlington and that we’re conducting our flights safely. Our pilots are careful to observe all the rules of the FAA and airport, and do their best to comply with the airport’s voluntary Good Neighbor Policy.

Our aircraft may be ‘vintage’ but given their rare and precious status, rest assured that they are meticulously maintained and carefully flown. Our pilots have thousands of flight hours between them and more experience in these aircraft than most. We love our aircraft, the history that they represent, and we relish the opportunity to share our passion with our visitors.

So come on out and pay us a visit! If you missed the day, catch up by checking out The Wingman – a recap of the day’s events and photos from our visual docent team. Click the dates below to read that fly day’s Wingman.
