"Bare Root Season"
Video Series
It’s "Bare Root" season at Christianson's which means it's the best time to find fruit trees, flowering ornamental trees, and shrubs at a great discount. Whether you are new to bare root planting or an old pro, our upcoming videos will help you get your footing with how it all works and will prove beneficial as you continue to cultivate a diversified home garden. Download our Fruit & Tree List for 2021!
This month's educational gardening video series is titled, "Bare Root Season." Here, we highlight varieties that thrive in the Pacific Northwest, demonstrate proven methods for successful planting, and explain the science behind the adaptability bare root plants have to a variety of different soils.
Follow our Instagram or Facebook pages every other week for gardening videos from the South Field where we heel in most of our bare root trees and shrubs as well as other Nursery locations. For current plant tiplets, tune in to John's weekly radio broadcast, "The Garden Show" on KAPS AM 660, or FM 102.1.

I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old, familiar carols play,
and wild and sweet, the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
 - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Adorned with twinkle lights and seasonal beauty, Christianson’s is a magical place to wander and soak up the spirit of the holidays. This year we brought in so many treasures for our ‘Joy to the World’ theme, that our holiday displays are spread out between Primrose, the Garden Store and the Conservatory. As you 'tour the world', you'll find a wide array of gifts and holiday items from around the globe, as well as boxed holiday cards, jigsaw puzzles, yummy treats, candles, and so much more!
We are so grateful for your support and patronage throughout this challenging year. With regard to COVID, Christianson’s is following CDC guidelines and Washington State mandates to ensure we have a safe environment for our customers and staff. Here are a few bits of information that might help you plan when and how to shop with us this holiday season:
  • We are open daily from 9 am to 5 am, and have extended hours on Fridays from 8:30 am to 6 pm to allow for shopping during quieter, non-peak hours. If you prefer to shop with fewer people around, we recommend coming early in the day as mornings tend to be quieter.
  • Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to see some of our favorite gift and decorating ideas. We post frequently so if you see something of interest on one of our posts, just give us a call and we can put items on hold for you.
  • If you prefer to shop from home, we have a beautiful collection of one-of-a-kind antique and vintage treasures in our Etsy shop PrimroseAntiques.
  • You are always welcome to call us and ask for suggestions! We are happy to offer ideas and do whatever we can to help make your shopping stress-free and streamlined. And if you know what you want, we can take your payment over the phone and deliver your items to you curbside.
We wish you and your loved ones a joyous and healthy holiday season!

Holiday Greenery, Live Christmas Trees
& D.I.Y. Wreath-Making
Decorate your home with fresh, fragrant Christmas greenery!
Choose from living Christmas trees to traditional round wreaths (star and tree-shaped wreaths, too), garland, and greens by the pound.
Ample greenery is one of the most beautiful ways to decorate your home inside and out. Line your doorway entrance with greens and drape fresh garlands across the fireplace mantel, on top of bookcases or along stairway banisters for instant holiday cheer. Cedar Garland, $2.49/foot
Live Christmas trees (balled & burlap) are now lined up like Nutcracker soldiers just outside the Garden Store: Alpine Fir $(49.98), Noble Fir ($69.98), and Dwarf Alberta Spruce ($59.98). With proper care, these trees may be planted outdoors after the holiday!
D.I.Y. Wreath-Making
Now through December 24, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Up to 5 people may gather per reservation
Bring your own or select from a stunning array of seasonal greenery and berries (sold by the pound) in Greenhouse #5.
Wear warm clothing and bring your own pruners and
gardening gloves.
Pre-register for the following DIY Wreath-Making times by contacting the Garden Store at 360-466-3821 or Contact Us
