December Garden Notes from Christianson’s Nursery

Shopping for gifts should be a joyful activity but it can also be overwhelming. Sometimes you know it when you see it, and other times you search and search yet nothing seems quite right. A trip to Christianson’s might provide just the inspiration you need! As always, we offer a wonderful selection of seasonal plants, trees, houseplants, winter-blooming bulbs, wreaths, garden pottery, and garden tools. We also have a fabulous selection of new and antique gift items and culinary goodies, all of which can be found in Primrose as well as our Garden Store and Conservatory. Here are just a few suggestions…

We have seasonal cookies and cocoa bombs handmade by local favorite, Ally Girl, plus chocolate Advent calendars, tins of Danish Peppar Kakor ginger cookies and Kardemumma Skorpor cardamom cookies, and Heritage Shortbread cookies including traditional, lemon-infused, and chocolate dipped. We also have a festive selection of holiday pasta in a variety of fun shapes, such as snowmen and reindeer - perfect for kids, family gatherings, and holiday potlucks!

We have a great collection of vintage Scandinavian glass, from makers such as Holmegaard, Dansk and iittala. We also have a very fun selection of decorative Christmas folk art from Sweden, Norway, and Germany. This year our collectible vintage ornaments and antique holiday treasures are sprinkled throughout Primrose and also in our Garden Store.

We have an extra wonderful array of gift items this year, including stocking stuffers galore (stockings too!), toys and books for kids, entertaining-themed gifts, awesome books, jigsaw puzzles, cozy hats, scarves, and gloves, and so much more! As always, we are happy to offer suggestions or help you put together themed gift sets.
