Tamara Ceseña, MBA promoted to Chief Financial Officer

Tamara Ceseña, MBA was selected and promoted as the next Regional Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Skagit Regional Health after a nationwide search.

Ceseña will take on the role held for the past five years by Paul Ishizuka, MBA, CPA, who recently retired.

“Tamara is a highly experienced, detail-oriented and motivated leader, communicator and mentor,” said Chief Executive Officer Brian Ivie. “She has excellent financial and problem-solving skills, along with tenure with our organization that makes her very well qualified and prepared for the position of CFO.”

Ceseña started with Skagit Regional Health (then known as Affiliated Health Services) in 1994, departing for a brief stint with Providence Medical Center in 2000 before returning to the organization. Her roles at Skagit Regional Health have spanned titles including Reimbursement Manager, Revenue Cycle Director and Vice President of Finance. She was the leader in the 2016 consolidation of the revenue cycle structure at Skagit Regional Health, in addition to having oversight of value-based initiatives, payer contracting and governmental reporting functions.

Ceseña holds a Bachelor of Arts from Western Washington University and a Master’s in Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from City University.
