About The Chamber

On behalf of the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce, I’d like to welcome you to 2017!

As this year’s incoming Board Chair, I’m excited about the opportunity to work with you to support and advocate for our local businesses, which are the key to economic prosperity and quality of life in our community.

The Chamber board and staff recognize the commitment you’ve made by allocating resources to your membership and pledge to work hard to ensure you experience value from your investment by providing:

  • information and training on timely and important topics related to business through webinars and online classes, monthly meetings, and weekly e-newsletter and monthly publication;
  • opportunities to advertise and market your business through event sponsorships and our weekly and monthly newsletters;
  • networking opportunities, including Chamber After Hours, Biz Buzz luncheons, and participation in one our annual signature events – the Skagit Wine and Beer Festival, Summer Concerts on the Riverwalk, and Jump into Summer; and
  • advocacy on issues affecting businesses at the local and state levels.

Of course, as with other organizations, the value of your membership grows with your active involvement.  I encourage you to attend and consider sponsoring monthly luncheons and After Hours events, offer to provide a professional training in your area of expertise, and look for opportunities to participate on committees.

Above all, I urge you to give us input on how we can better meet your needs as a Chamber member.  Our board is anxious to hear your ideas and is committed to continuously improving in our service to our business community.

On behalf of our board and staff, that you for your support of the Mount Vernon Chamber!
