About The Chamber


Welcome to THE premier business advocacy organization in Mount Vernon!

As this year’s incoming Board Chair, I am honored to have this opportunity to work with you to support and advocate for our local businesses. This coming year we will focus like a laser beam on our two main goals: (1) economic prosperity ,and (2) quality of life in our community.

The Chamber board and our excellent staff recognize the commitment you’ve made by allocating resources to your membership. We in turn commit to provide you four specific products to help you prosper:

  1. information and training on timely and important topics related to business through webinars and online classes, monthly meetings, and weekly e-newsletter and monthly publication;
  2. opportunities to advertise and market your business through event sponsorships and our weekly and monthly newsletters;
  3. networking opportunities, including Chamber After Hours, Biz Buzz luncheons, and participation in our annual signature events –  the Chili and Chowder Cook-off, the Skagit Wine and Beer Festival, The Riverwalk Summer Concert Series, and Jump into Summer; and
  4. advocacy on issues affecting businesses at the local and state levels.

The value of your membership will grow exponentially with your active involvement.  I encourage you to attend and consider sponsoring monthly luncheons and After Hours events, offer to provide a professional training in your area of expertise, and look for opportunities to participate on committees.

Above all, I urge you to give us input on how we can better meet your needs as a Chamber member.  Our board is anxious to hear your ideas and is committed to continuously improving in our service to our business community.
