In addition to our Business Happy Hour held on the 2nd Thursday of each month and the monthly membership luncheon held on the 4th Wednesday of each month, the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce has a few special events that we hold annually.
Jump Into Summer BBQ & Raffle
This is a special event held on the 4th Thursday in June where we welcome in the summer by throwing a BBQ on the bright sunny grounds of Skagit Valley Gardens. In conjunction with the BBQ we hold a raffle drawing. We will repeat last years raffle for a Beachcomber Hot Tub and also add a 2nd place drawing for a Propane BBQ and a 3rd place drawing for an outdoor patio heater.
Putts & Pints Million $ Golf Tournament
Each August we hold a golf tournament with the Burlington Chamber of Commerce. The tournament rotates locations between Eaglemont Golf Course in Mount Vernon and Avalon Golf Links in Burlington. To spice things up a little bit last year we added the Putts & Pints Brewfest at the end of the tournament with live music and beer from several local breweries. This is a 4 person shotgun scramble tournament that includes a catered lunch and dinner along with many awards and prizes.

Holiday Mixer & Awards
When the weather outside is frightful we head to Skagit Valley Gardens’ Winter Wonderland for our Holiday Mixer & Awards. This event takes the place of our December Business Happy Hour. Attendees can build business relationships while sampling food and beverages from many chamber member restaurants and caterers We also hand out awards to a few of our outstanding chamber members, welcome in the new Chamber Board members and thank our outgoing board members.
