Tourism
The Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce is committed to community promotion.
We know that tourism benefits the Skagit County in innumerable ways. Each year,
thousands of people visit the Skagit Valley to experience whale and
eagle-watching, wine tours, tulips, family farms, hiking, and other great
attractions. Tourism in Skagit Valley generates nearly $212 million in revenue.
The Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce Tourism Committee exists to reach out to tourists by promoting Skagit County. We visit travel writers for major newspapers and publications to entice them to write about our area, we court tour operators to bring tour buses full of visitors through the Valley, and we make sure that Skagit County has a staffed booth at travel and tourism shows throughout the United States.
If you are interested in serving on the Tourism Committee, please email Karen Mills or call her at 360-428-8547.
