Community Action of Skagit County will celebrate it’s 40 anniversary on October 10, 2019 with the annual Spirit of Hope Fundraiser. The 5 pm dinner event features an inspiring keynote presenter and this year we are honored to welcome Dick Durrance. Dick Durrance is a National Geographic photographer as well as a combat photographer in Vietnam. His worldly message of human compassion and care are discovered in his presentation "In the Spirit of Hope."

When you see and hear Dick’s amazing photography and his story telling capabilities you understand that his message of worldly connectedness resonates with the work of Community Action.

The annual Spirit of Hope fundraiser focuses on the mission of Community Action by celebrating the successes of our clients and staff while inspiring our community to give to an effective and purposeful organization that is making a difference in their community. We know at Community Action our work with clients is about helping them build hope in their lives along with a vision. The funds raised from this important event go directly to the 18 programs and services we provide our clients.
