Spencer Olsufka Joins HKP Architects

Spencer received his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from Washington State University in 2011, and Master of Architecture in 2014 from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois. After graduating, he joined the architecture studio at Valerio Dewalt Train Associates in Chicago, working on multiple student housing projects and tenant improvements. He was involved with AIA Chicago and Young Architect’s Forum, was an assistant instructor with IIT’s Experiment in Architecture program for high school students, and mentor with ACE Chicago. Spencer brings a wide variety of detailing and construction experience, a strong interest in sustainable design and healthy materials, and is happy to be back home in the Pacific Northwest. At HKP Architects, Spencer is currently working on the Lakedale Resort Activity Center, a multi-purpose guest facility for the resort on San Juan Island, Washington.
