Barron Heating donates ductless heat pump system to Sedro-Woolley family

A Sedro-Woolley couple battling cancer is receiving a free Daikin Ductless Heat Pump installed at their home from Barron Heating & Air Conditioning in Burlington.

Jamie and wife Kathy Brisky were recommended for Barron Heating’s Christmas in July giving event. After 10 years of remission from Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Jamie Brisky was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer and Kathy Brisky is just finishing treatment for breast cancer. With medical bills piling up, their heat pump chose a terrible time to go out.

“People told us how much the Briskys could use a ductless heat pump with winter approaching,” said owner John Barron. “Barron Heating’s mission is improving lives and that is exactly what we set out to do for these families in need.”

Barron Heating also donated a new furnace to a Bellingham woman caring for her grandchildren and a new air-conditioning unit to an Everett family with a 4-year-old daughter facing a rare disease that makes breathing difficult in summer months. The value of the donated equipment with installation is estimated at more than $25,000.

“This year the selected families were gifted different systems depending on their personal situation and needs,” Barron said. “That’s ultimately what we do every day – look beyond the box to identify and solve home performance challenges.”

Barron Heating is now seeking more recommendations for families in need in Skagit, Island, San Juan, Snohomish and Whatcom counties. Three more families will be selected to receive a new furnace this winter. Family recommendations may be made at www.barronheating.com/furnacefund/ or any of the three Barron Heating locations.
