Mount Vernon Annual Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting & Free Holiday Movie

Come to historic downtown First Street for Mount Vernon’s Annual Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting, Sunday, December 8, starting at 5 pm. This year herald’s the exciting debut of the MVDA’s Building Vibrance campaign, with 38 trees illuminated throughout the downtown core and in Pine Square, in addition to our beautiful City of Mount Vernon tree in Pine Square. Come see our downtown sparkle!

This year’s Holiday Parade Grand Marshal is Kate Bennet, retiring this year as director of Leadership Skagit since 2008. Bennet has worked with over 300 people in Skagit county, helping them develop leadership skills over a nine-month program designed to help foster leadership in Skagit county. The MVDA celebrates Bennet’s incredible work and dedication to our community!
