McIntyre Hall Event Cancellation

McIntyre Hall announces Operations Update as precaution to COVID-19

March 9, Skagit Valley College was notified that the Snohomish County Health District is investigating a presumptive positive test for the COVID-19 virus involving a resident of the Josephine Sunset Home in Stanwood. Nine SVC students and two faculty in the Certified Nursing Assistant program have been participating in clinical instruction at this facility since February 5. At this time, no students or faculty members have been tested for the COVID-19 virus. However, these individuals have participated in classes on the Mount Vernon Campus within the last week. In an abundance of caution and to limit further exposure to the SVC Community, the College eliminated large gatherings.

As a result, all scheduled events and rehearsals at McIntyre Hall are cancelled through March 15, 2020. This includes performances by the Mount Vernon High School Instrumental Music Spring Concert (March 12) and Rise Up! The Hamilton Tribute Band (March 14).

REFUNDS: Ticket holders will be contacted by phone and email. McIntyre Hall will exchange your ticket for a future event or offer a refund on request. Executive Director Nida Tautvydas stated, “...Our first concern is community health and safety. And as we work through issues related to this closure and event cancellation, we anticipate a high volume of calls and ask for patience as we resolve exchanges and refunds. We are monitoring this evolving situation closely and will announce any further program or operational changes through our regular channels, including our website. Thank you for your understanding and support.”
