Skagit Transit & Helping Hands to Stuff the Bus – Accepting Donations for C.H.O.W.!

Helping Hands and Skagit Transit are partnering up to Stuff The Bus and help feed Skagit  Families. Helping Hands is feeding an average of 2,200 students each week throughout the  County and is seeking support to continue its effort.

Helping Hands and Skagit Transit will be accepting C.H.O.W. items on Saturday, August 21st from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cascade Mall in Burlington.
Donation items include: Peanut Butter, Macaroni & Cheese, Kid Friendly Soup (with pop top openings), Cans of Chili, Canned Tuna/Protein, and Granola Bars

Spider-Man, Moana & Wonder Woman will also be making appearances to help accept donations and take pictures with their fans (thank you to our friends  at Enchanting Events!)

We challenge our community to see who will be crowned C.H.O.W. Champion! The organization, business or service group that brings in the most pounds in donations will be  crowned Community Champion! Monetary donations also count towards the goal: $1 = 25  pounds of food! The Community Champion will be featured in a ¼ page colored ad in the  Skagit Valley Herald, bragging rights, and a delicious lunch for their group!

Helping Hands will also be welcoming Sugar+Spoon (Seattle’s Edible Cookie Dough Food Truck) to the Cascade Mall on Tuesday, August 17th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  10% of all sales will go right back to Helping Hands/C.H.O.W.!  Visit their Facebook to see their delicious menu: https://www.facebook.com/sugarspoondough/

On Wednesday, August 18th, visit the Burlington MOD Pizza and mention Helping Hands!  Helping Hands will get 20% of sales!
