If you can't make it this weekend, don't worry, our Sunday market will continue through October 2nd.

Next door to the market, we will be hosting an Outdoor Benefit Concert ($65 entry) supporting the Friendship House beginning at noon and running through 7 p.m. in the Meadow Field just to the north of the Nursery. “Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.”

F. Scott Fitzgerald

It's hard to say what we love most about September. The light is softer, the evenings are cooler, kids are going back to school, and the valley is starting to pop with fall color. To top it off, the pumpkins are back, dazzling us with their radiant shades of yellow and orange.

The shop is changing colors as well. We have a variety of pumpkin-themed cookbooks, pumpkin napkins and dish towels, pumpkin scone mixes, as well as an assortment of fall decorations for bringing the joy of autumn into your home.

The shop is ever-changing and as the autumn leaves blow in, so will our beautifully curated collection of seasonal gifts, books, clothing, and French antiques.

Fall Is For Planting!

Fall is for planting! We are beginning to get our fall bulbs in, including iris, allium, and more! Planting fall bulbs ensures a beautiful spring of color. You can learn more about planting bulbs this fall HERE.

Now is also the time to plant roses, perennials, trees, and shrubs to establish root systems while the upcoming rains do the essential watering. Anytime the temperature is 42 degrees and above, root systems are being developed and that is why fall planting gives your trees, shrubs, and perennials a head start in spring. While our selection is best, now is the time to plant hardy bulbs such as tulips, daffodils, and snowdrops.

Fall is also a great time to shop hardy perennials (see our specials below) and transition overgrown summer annuals with pansies, kale, dusty miller, mums, asters, and black-eyed Susan. Often these hardy annuals surprise us and emerge the following year.
