Skagit Workforce Summit addresses workforce concerns

Do workforce recruiting challenges keep you up at night? Are you unable to grow due to lack of qualified labor? EDASC and your local educational institutions are here to help!

Learn how your business can forge partnerships with education to address the workforce concerns of today and tomorrow at the second annual Skagit Workforce Summit from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Northwest Career & Technical Academy in Mount Vernon.

The Skagit Workforce Summit is designed to connect employers with educational institutions to develop internships, apprenticeships, and other career pathways, as well as to provide methods to get students excited about careers through business tours, guest speaker presentations, hands-on career exploration, and more.

Hear from local workforce development leaders from the Northwest Career & Technical Academy, Northwest Educational Service District, and Skagit Valley College. The summit also includes a Q&A panel featuring representatives from businesses and education. Attendees will also have time for networking and visiting our workforce development partner booths.
