Skagit Transit New Route and Service Changes May 1st 2023

Skagit Transit is launching a new route to expand service to support the growing Burlington area. Route 101 is a new route that is scheduled to begin on May 1st, 2023. The new service loop will run seven days a week providing access to shopping, job locations and community services.

There are minor changes to Route 40X, 207, 300, 301, 410, and 717 on May 1st that are described below.  Together, these changes will support the region’s recovery and more easily connect riders to destinations.

Route 300 in Sedro Woolley has been modified to add routing and bus stops along Klinger Street and F & S Grade Road.

Route 301 will service along the Highway 20 corridor on hourly from Burlington Chuckanut Park and Ride to the Sedro Woolley park and ride. Routes 301 and 300 will meet for easy transfers at the Sedro Woolley park and ride. The Burlington Library and Community Center will now be serviced by the Route 101 thus the 301 loop to these is eliminated.

Route 40x will add a trip at 615am from March Point Park and Ride on weekdays and add a trip at 815am and 540pm from Skagit Station eastbound on Saturdays.

Route 410 will keep the same routing and drop the first run of the day.

Route 207 will adjust service times at Austin Lane in Mount Vernon.

Route 717 flex route in Concrete shall adjust service times.
