Vice President Chief Nursing Officer hired at Skagit Valley Hospital

Skagit Regional Health is pleased to announce that Bianca Gordon, MSN, RN, CCRN-K, has accepted the position of Vice President Chief Nursing Officer at Skagit Valley Hospital, effective November 13, 2023.

Ms. Gordon has been an invaluable member of the Skagit Regional Health organization since joining in July 2019 as the Director of Acute Care Services, subsequently serving as the Associate Chief Nursing Officer. Prior to, and throughout, the COVID-19 pandemic Ms. Gordon demonstrated leadership, a commitment to patient care and a deep understanding of the evolving healthcare landscape. Her extensive experience in nursing makes her an ideal fit for the position of Vice President Chief Nursing Officer. Throughout her time at Skagit Regional Health, Ms. Gordon has consistently displayed a passion for continuous improvement and has played a vital role in enhancing the quality of care provided to patients.

Prior to joining Skagit Regional Health, Ms. Gordon was the Clinical Program Director of a healthcare technology startup after serving at Providence, Everett, a 590-bed, Level II trauma facility, in several clinical and operational leadership roles beginning in 2006. Ms. Gordon is a proud graduate of the University of Washington School of Nursing. In addition to her role at Skagit Regional Health, Ms. Gordon serves on the board of the Lake Whatcom Center whose purpose is to provide residential care and community outpatient mental health programs for chronically mentally ill adults.

In her new role, Ms. Gordon will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating nursing operations within Skagit Valley Hospital. She will work closely with our nursing staff, providers and other key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality care that aligns with Skagit Regional Health’s mission and values.
