Tickets Now Available for Skagit Habitat for Humanity’s Raise the Roof 2024 Gala and Auction Benefit

Event tickets are now available for Skagit Habitat for Humanity’s annual fundraising event – Raise the Roof Gala and Benefit Auction – Unmasking Affordable Housing.  The March 9, 2024, event is a key yearly fundraiser for the charitable non-profit organization focused on creating affordable housing solutions in Skagit County, WA.

“Don’t miss out on all the fun and entertainment – all in support of a great mission to build and maintain affordable housing, community and hope,” said Skagit Habitat Event Committee Chairwoman Julia Phillip, CEO of Julia Phillip Real Estate & Design.  “I can’t wait to see the Skagit community show up to support an organization making such a huge impact in our region.”

The annual benefit is the non-profit’s marquee fundraising event and features a Venetian-carnival themed night inclusive of live and silent auctions, dinner, drinks, a dessert dash, live music and entertainment, raffle prizes, and more. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their best costume.  Co-emcees for the evening are Kristen Keltz CEO of Skagit Tourism Bureau and Mike Yoeman DJ at KAPS Radio.

“I am so happy to be supporting Skagit Habitat for Humanity and joining my Skagit neighbors at the event,” said Keltz.  “Skagit Habitat does so many great things to advance affordable housing with the community…I am just so excited!”

Other ways to participate include sponsoring the event or donating to the auction. Join current sponsors Banner Bank, Marathon, Blade Chevrolet, Landed Gentry, WECU, KAPS/KBRC, Legg & Watne, Skagit Regional Health and Julia Phillip Real Estate & Design.

Skagit Habitat for Humanity CEO Tina Tate added, “Affordable housing solutions that our non-profit provides open up opportunities for low-income, hard-working families to invest in their future, including community involvement, education, finances, and career paths.  We are so grateful to our sponsors, guests, volunteers, and staff for coming together to make this event possible. We love seeing members of the Skagit community unite to 'unmask' the path to affordable housing!”

Based in Mount Vernon, WA., Skagit Habitat for Humanity working with community donors, sponsors and volunteers is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty through affordable housing solutions. Through the organization’s innovative efforts like its Homebuyer Program, the local non-profit works with hard-working, low-income families in the County to build, buy and maintain affordable homes.

More specifically – Skagit Habitat targets families that have a household income between $28,860-$57,720, or just 30-60% of the County’s Area Median Income for a family of four.  With these families the organization builds permanent, affordable housing side-by-side with the future homeowners.

Join Skagit Habitat for Humanity and Raise the Roof  on March 9 to celebrate affordable housing.  Individual, VIP and full table ticket options are available for purchase now.
