Invitation to Mount Vernon Police Chief Interviews–March 26th

POLICE CHIEF CANDIDATE MEET-AND-GREET

MOUNT VERNON – The City of Mount Vernon is providing an opportunity for community members to meet the three finalists for the Mount Vernon Police Chief position.

An open forum, followed by a meet-and-greet reception, will take place at the Mount Vernon Police Department Multi-Purpose Room (1805 Continental Pl.) on Tuesday, March 26th.

The three finalists have been selected following an extensive interview process that took place on March 11th.  Each of the three finalists will answer community questions in a forum setting; followed by an informal meet-and-greet in the lobby. The public will have the option to leave written comments at the event.

The Format

6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Forum for Spanish-speaking residents. An interpreter will be present to translate for our audience.

7:15 – 8:15 p.m.
All-community Q & A forum.

8:15 p.m.
Meet-and-Greet in Lobby. A Spanish-speaking interpreter will accompany each of the three candidates. Light snacks and beverages will be provided.

The Finalists

Daniel Christman is currently the Police Chief of the Selah Police Department in Selah, Washington.

Sean O’Laughlin is currently the Deputy Chief of the Eastern Washington University Police Department.

Paul Ryan is currently the Administrative Commander of the City of Monroe Police Department.
