Little Aoife and her brother Paddy decided to make Mam breakfast in bed for Mother's Day. They brought her burnt toast, undercooked eggs, and a mug of orange juice... with a teabag floating in it. Mam smiled sweetly and said, “Ah, thank you, darlings. This is lovely!” Paddy beamed. “We wanted to surprise you!” She took a sip, winced slightly, and said, “Well you’ve certainly done that—next time surprise me after I’ve eaten!”
