Mount Vernon City Council to Consider Resolution Supporting Proposition 1

At its upcoming meeting on October 22, 2025, the Mount Vernon City Council will consider adopting a resolution in support of Proposition 1, a levy measure focused on funding Basic Public Safety, Essential Services, and Community Improvements.

Proposition 1 will appear on the November 4, 2025, General Election ballot. If approved by voters, the levy would provide critical funding to maintain and enhance services that directly impact the safety and well-being of Mount Vernon residents.

As part of the Council’s commitment to transparency and public engagement, equal time will be provided during the meeting for individuals wishing to speak in opposition to the proposed levy.
