Skagit Valley Food Co-op’s 5% Friday Community Giving Day Applications Are Now Open

Each year, the Skagit Valley Food Co-op Board of Trustees opens applications for the Co-op's longstanding 5% Friday Community Giving Day Program: one Friday each month, the Co-op donates 5% of the day's sales to a local community group. In 2025, all-time giving surpassed $550,000!

Applicant groups should be non-sectarian and non-partisan charitable groups committed to bettering the community. Organizations are selected for their service and impact in the following areas: local community service, food access, organic food, environmentally friendly and sustainable agricultural practices, human rights, and environmental protection. Other groups whose mission statements are well-aligned with the Co-op's Ends Statements may also be considered. Interested and qualified groups should submit their applications by September 30, 2025.
