Fall Season

Fall in Mount Vernon, WA is an agricultural precipice of harvest. The bounty of autumnal squash and pumpkins, kale and leeks, potatoes and beets, and more are plentiful.  Celebrations including the Festival of Family Farms and historic barn tours at many local farms are experienced daily.  Visit our historic downtown waterfront park to find wineries and breweries using local fruits and malts in their original recipes along with modern and country restaurants offering seasonal menus.  Along the eastern edge of the county lies a magnificent stretch of highway are the North Cascade Mountains where hikers can discover 50 miles of trails, or day trippers can view spectacular fall color!
